Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, identical twins Derrell, and Terrell Brittenum began their journey in the music industry by performing as background vocalists for renowned gospel artists such as Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, Shirley Caesar, James Moore, Kim Burrell, The Clark Sisters, and Donald Lawrence. After gaining popularity in the gospel music scene, the brothers set their sights on a career in R&B music.
Their participation in the popular reality TV competition American Idol brought them international recognition and led to contracts with So So Def and Virgin Records. Through their experiences in the music industry, Derrell and Terrell witnessed the challenges faced by artists, including the lack of proper representation and access to the right producers and songwriters.
Driven by a passion to support independent artists, the twins founded Britt Consulting Group, a full-service agency dedicated to helping artists advance in the industry. Their company offers a range of services, including artist development, connections to top producers and songwriters, PR, and image consulting.
